In fact, on Sunday, the session of the Punjab Assembly was called for the election of the new leader of the house and the Chief Minister. But, it was postponed till 6 April without voting. After this, there was sloganeering and uproar in the house. Legislators from the government and the opposition clashed with each other, including women legislators.
Dawn News has shared a video on Twitter. This video is from inside Punjab Vidhan Sabha. In this video, we can see how the government and the opposition are pushing and fighting women MLAs with each other. Not only this, women are also seen pulling each other. After some time after seeing women as boys, male MLAs also joined this fight.
According to Dawn’s report, the session of the Punjab Assembly was called for the election of the new leader of the house and the chief minister. But, the session was adjourned till April 6 without voting. The provincial assembly, along with the PTI-backed Chaudhry Parvez Elahi of the PML-Q and Hamza Shahbaz of the PML-N, were to vote on Sunday to elect the new leader of the house.
The session of the Punjab Assembly took place at the same time that a National Assembly (NA) session was to vote on a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. In the end, there was no voting in either of the two places. Because the no-confidence motion in the National Assembly was rejected by Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri.

PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique termed the adjournment of the session unconstitutional. Earlier, hours before the session of the provincial assembly, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar was removed from his post. Later, former information secretary of PTI Umar Sarfaraz Cheema has been made the new governor of Punjab in his place.
