New Delhi: TVS Motor Company has launched its much-awaited electric scooter X in Dubai. The TVS X, priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), will start deliveries in November in Bengaluru and will expand to 15 other cities by the end of the year.
The TVS X has a sleek and modern design with LED lights and a spacious 19-litre utility box. It is based on the XLETON platform and has a ground clearance of 175mm and a seat height of 770mm. It also has three riding modes: Xtride, Xtealth, and Xonic.
The TVS X features a 10-inch TFT instrument cluster that serves as an entertainment hub, allowing users to stream reels, videos, songs, and games. It also has Hill Hold Control that prevents the scooter from rolling backward on slopes.
The TVS X is powered by a ram-cooled electric motor, a segment first, that delivers effective cooling and optimal performance. It has an 11 kW motor and a 4.4 kWh battery pack that produces 14.7 bhp power and can reach a top speed of 105 kmph. It has an IDV range of 140 km and can be charged up to 80 percent in 3 hours and 40 minutes with both portable and rapid charger options.
The TVS X has a suspension system with telescopic forks in the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear. It also has disc brakes with single-channel ABS. The TVS X is available in red/silver color option for now, but more color options will be introduced later.
