Washington: An under-construction building collapsed in Washington on Thursday, injuring several people. The incident took place at Brightwood Park around 3.30 pm.
Fire officials said the under-construction building had completely collapsed and at least one person was buried under the rubble. Efforts are on to retrieve the man from the rubble. Officials said that several workers engaged in construction work have been injured in this incident.
Two houses around the building have been evacuated. Video from the scene showed firefighters trying to rescue a man buried under the rubble.
