New Delhi: The G20 Summit, which was hosted by India in its national capital for two days on September 9 and 10, concluded on Sunday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi handing over the presidency of the 19th summit to Brazil. The summit was attended by heads of state of G20 members and heads of international organizations.
Among the guests was UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who came to India on a three-day visit. Sunak, who has Indian roots, expressed his desire to visit a temple during his stay. On Sunday, he fulfilled his wish by visiting the Akshardham temple in Delhi with his wife Akshata, and offering prayers.
Sunak returned to Britain on Sunday, but not before capturing every moment of his trip to India in a beautiful video. He shared the video on his social media accounts with the caption “An important visit to India for G20.” The video shows glimpses of Sunak’s participation in the G20 meetings, his interactions with other leaders, the decorations of the summit venue, and his visit to the Akshardham temple.
Sunak’s video has received a lot of appreciation from his followers, who praised him for his respect for Indian culture and his role in strengthening the bilateral ties between India and the UK. Sunak has also thanked PM Modi and the people of India for their warm hospitality and successful hosting of the G20 Summit.
