Sidhi: A painful road accident took place on the night of 24 February in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. The speeding truck hit three buses hard. 15 people died in this accident, while more than 60 people were injured. Many leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have expressed grief over this accident. Chief Minister Shivraj reached the spot at night itself and inquired about the condition of the injured. He announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh each to the seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh each to the injured.
At the same time, 8 of the dead died on the spot, while the rest died in the hospital. The cause of the said accident is said to be the bursting of the truck’s tire. After this, this truck hit three standing buses strongly from behind. So far only 9 dead have been identified.
These three buses were returning straight after attending the Mahakumbh of Kol Samaj held in Satna. At the same time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Shivraj Singh also participated in this important program. CM Shivraj was in Sidhi at the time of the incident. They reached the spot as soon as they got the information. Here Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed his grief over the bus accident in Sidhi district.
CM Shivraj also said that if any of the relatives of the deceased is eligible for a government job, he will be given a job according to his qualification. Regarding the accident, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh has demanded to give Rs 50 lakh to the relatives of the deceased and Rs 5 lakh to the injured. According to the information, the accident happened when three buses reached Mohania Tunnel at around 9.15 pm and were hit by a speeding truck. Due to the collision, two buses fell into the ditch and one bus overturned on the same road. It is being told that the wheel of the speeding truck burst, due to which it went uncontrolled and collided with the buses. These three buses were returning from the program of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Satna.
CM Shivraj announced the relief amount
After the accident, CM Shivraj Singh tweeted, reaching Rewa Medical College and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, consoled the bereaved family members and obtained information from the doctors regarding the treatment of the injured. Best medical facilities are being provided to the injured. I pray that our injured brothers and sisters get well soon. The incident is heartbreaking. Our first priority is to make better arrangements for the treatment of the injured. If necessary, the injured will be taken by air ambulance for treatment elsewhere. A relief amount of Rs 10 lakh will be given to the next of kin of the companions who did not survive in this unfortunate accident.
Digvijay Singh targeted BJP
Regarding the accident, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh tweeted, Sad news of the death of 5 people due to the collision of buses returning directly from the Shivraj government’s event hosted by Home Minister Amit Shah in Satna, MP. More than 50 people have been injured. Since the program was the government, the Chief Minister should take responsibility for the accident and sack the guilty officials. Immediately announce a compensation amount of Rs 50 lakh to the families of each of those who died in the bus accident and Rs 5 lakh to the injured.
