Islamabad: Suppose you are traveling on a flight. Meanwhile, the pilot refuses to fly the plane in the middle of the journey. So what will you do? Something similar happened with the passengers traveling in a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight. In fact, citing the end of the shift, the pilot refused to fly the plane in the middle of the journey. After this the passengers aboard the plane got agitated. He said in protest that he would not get off the plane. The captain then refused to take the plane to Islamabad and said that his duty hours were over. Airport security had to be called to bring the situation under control.
According to Pakistan’s newspaper The Express Tribune, the PIA administration reported that PK-9754 took off from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, but landed in Dammam due to bad weather. The captain of the flight then refused to take the plane to Islamabad and said that his duty hours were over.
A PIA spokesperson said that for the safety of the flight, it is necessary for the pilots to take proper rest before taking off, so arrangements were made accordingly. He said that the passengers will get down in Islamabad at 11 pm on Sunday. Earlier, direct flight service from PIA to Saudi Arabia was not detailed. In November, PIA announced that it was expanding its flights to Saudi Arabia.
According to the spokesperson, PIA flights will depart from various cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Peshawar.
