Peshawar: At least two soldiers were killed and nine others were injured in firing by unidentified terrorists at security check posts in South and North Waziristan of Pakistan. This was told in a media report on Sunday. In the first incident, terrorists attacked security forces in the Shawwal area of ​​North Waziristan district near the Afghanistan border on Saturday. One soldier was killed and two others were injured in this.

Dawn newspaper quoted officials as saying that the injured soldiers have been admitted to a hospital in Miramshah. Sources said an IED exploded in the area when the security forces were conducting a search operation. The personnel participating in the operation are safe. Security forces were also attacked in two areas of the South Waziristan district, in which one jawan was martyred and seven others were injured.

According to reports, an IED exploded near a vehicle in the Osse Pass area of ​​Ladha sub-division, injuring two jawans. Militants opened fire at a check post in Ladha, but no casualties were reported.

The militants attacked a check post in Tiarza, about 30 km north of Wana, the headquarters of South Waziristan, on Friday night, officials said.

He said the terrorists fired rockets at the check post. District Police Officer Shaukat Ali confirmed the attack in Tiarza. He said one soldier was killed and five others were injured in the attack.
