Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming comedy-drama film ‘Tera Kya Hoga Lovely’ have unveiled the trailer of the film, which features Ileana D’Cruz and Randeep Hooda in the lead roles. The film, directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, is a quirky and refreshing take on the issues of skin color and dowry in India.

The trailer begins with a scene where Ileana D’Cruz’s character, Lovely, is being photoshopped to look fairer for her matrimonial profile. Lovely is a dark-skinned girl who faces constant pressure from her parents to get married, but fails to find a suitable groom due to her complexion. To make matters worse, the dowry that her parents had saved for her marriage is stolen by a thief.

Enter Randeep Hooda’s character, a police officer who is assigned to investigate the theft case. He meets Lovely and falls in love with her at first sight, despite her dark skin. He tries to woo her with his charm and humor but faces resistance from her parents and society, who are obsessed with fair skin and dowry.

The trailer promises a lot of laughter and romance, as well as a strong social message. The film also stars Karan Kundra, who plays Lovely’s cousin and confidant. The trailer has received positive feedback from the audience, who are looking forward to watching the film.

Ileana D’Cruz shared the trailer on her social media handle and wrote, ‘One thing always remains certain in Lovely’s life, back-to-back Siyappa.’ She also revealed that the film will release on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2024. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Films India and Movie Tunnel Productions.
