Mumbai: A day after announcing the e-auction of Sunny Deol’s Juhu bungalow to recover a loan of Rs 56 crore, Bank of Baroda has withdrawn the notice due to ‘technical reasons’. The bank published a notice in The Times of India on Sunday, stating that the actor had borrowed Rs 55,99,80,766.33 from them and had failed to repay it. The notice also mentioned that Sunny was the guarantor for the loan.

However, on Monday, the bank issued a corrigendum in the same newspaper, saying that the auction of Sunny’s property was canceled. The property in question is a piece of land measuring 599.44 sq mtrs with a structure known as Sunny Villa on it. The villa houses Sunny Super Sound, which is the actor’s office, a preview theatre, and two other post-production suites. The office was established in the late 80s.

Sunny’s spokesperson had also confirmed that the issue was being resolved and asked for no further speculation. “We are in the process of resolving this issue and the issue will be resolved. We request for no further speculation on the same,” the spokesperson told Etimes.

Meanwhile, Sunny is enjoying the success of his latest film Gadar 2, which has collected Rs 377.20 crores so far in India alone. The film is a sequel to his 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
