Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty arrested in connection with drug connection in the Sushant Singh Rajput case has been sent to 14 days judicial custody by a Mumbai court. That is, Riya will have to remain in jail till 22 September. Earlier, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested the actress for the transaction and the use of drugs.
Riya Chakraborty was brought back to the NCB office after a medical examination. Appeared in court through video conferencing. In court, the NCB sought 14 days judicial custody from the court in Riya Chakraborty’s case, while Riya’s lawyer Satish Manashinde sought bail in the case.
Sushant’s body was found in his flat on 14 June
Significantly, Sushant’s body was found on June 14 in his flat in the Bandra area of Mumbai. Last month, father KK Singh had filed a case against Riya Chakraborty in Patna. He accused Riya Chakraborty and his family of inciting Rajput to suicide and embezzling his money. Recently, the Supreme Court upheld the decision of Rajput’s father to transfer the FIR lodged against Riya and others in Patna to CBI.
