Mumbai: Dino James, a popular Indian rapper, singer, composer, and lyricist, has emerged as the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, the adventure reality show hosted by Rohit Shetty. He beat TV actors Arijit Taneja and Aishwarya Sharma in the grand finale, which aired on Saturday night. The finale episode was a star-studded affair, with all the contestants of this season joining in for some fun and entertainment. Apart from performing the final stunt, some of them also showcased their dance skills on the stage. Dino James, who is known for his rap songs based on his own life experiences, also presented an original rap song describing his journey on the show.
Dino James not only won the trophy of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 but also a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh and a car. While many people are familiar with Arijit Taneja and Aishwarya Sharma, who have been prominent faces on TV, not many know about Dino James. So, who is Dino James?
According to various sources, Dino James belongs to Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He came to Mumbai around 2000 with a dream of becoming an actor. He joined acting classes and worked in some advertisements and TV shows in minor roles. He also tried his hand in various jobs such as assistant director, spot boy, fitness trainer, guitar teacher, and junior artist. However, he did not get any breakthrough in his acting career and faced a lot of struggle and depression. He went back to his hometown in 2010 to help his father with his work as an electrician.
In 2012, he returned to Mumbai with a new hope and passion for music. He met a person on the beach who was playing the guitar and singing a self-composed song. This inspired him to write songs and become a rapper. He launched his first song “Loser” in 2016 on the BeingIndian YouTube channel. He also released another song “Girlfriend” on his own YouTube channel named ‘Dino James’. These songs made him popular among the youth and he gained a lot of fans and followers. He released many other songs such as Yaadein, Unstoppable, Hancock, Maa, and Woh, which were based on his personal struggles and emotions.
Dino James was one of the 14 contestants who participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 this year. The show was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, and featured various challenging stunts and tasks. Dino James proved himself to be a fearless and genuine contestant throughout the show. He impressed the host Rohit Shetty with his performance and attitude. He also formed some precious friendships with his fellow contestants on the show.

Apart from Dino James, Arijit Taneja, and Aishwarya Sharma, the other contestants of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 were Daisy Shah, Rohit Roy, Anjum Fakih, Anjali Anand, Ruhi Chaturvedi, Soundous Moufakir, Sheezan Khan, Rashmeet Kaur, Nyra Banerjee and Archana Gautam. The show premiered on July 15 on Colors TV and streamed digitally on JioCinema.
