New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is all set to launch a nationwide campaign called Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from January 14, which will cover 15 states and 110 districts in 67 days. The yatra, which was earlier named Bharat Nyay Yatra, has been rechristened to Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to carry forward the legacy of the previous Bharat Jodo Yatra that Gandhi undertook from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 2022.

The yatra will be flagged off by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge from Manipur’s capital Imphal on January 14 and will conclude in Mumbai on April 20. The Yatra will also pass through Arunachal Pradesh, which was not part of the original route map. The yatra will focus on the issues of social, economic, and political justice for the people of India, who have been suffering under the BJP-led government’s policies of communalism, unemployment, inflation, and centralization.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh, who announced the details of the yatra after a meeting of senior party leaders on Thursday, said that Gandhi will interact with various sections of society, especially women, youth, and marginalized communities, during the yatra. He will also invite the allies of the Indian National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc to join the yatra and present a united front against the BJP.

Ramesh said that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will be a transformative movement that will change the political narrative of the country and energize Congress workers. He said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra that Gandhi led in 2022 had created a wave of unity, love, and harmony among the people and had exposed the BJP’s divisive agenda. He said that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will take the message of justice to every corner of the country and will challenge the BJP’s misrule and mismanagement.
