Sagar: The story of Prahlad of Ghosi Patti, a small village in Sagar, is like a film story. Prahlad, who went missing from home, was found in Pakistan, and today after 23 years, Pakistan has handed him over to India. Prahlad reached Amritsar via the Wagah border. His brother and Sagar police constable were present there to pick him up. Prahlad Singh Rajput, who went missing from his house 23 years ago, was released from Pakistan’s jail on Monday and reached Amritsar’s Attari border. To pick up Prahlad, younger brother Veer Singh, along with the Sagar police, reached Amritsar and received it. Younger brother Veer Singh became emotional when Prahlad reached the Attari border.
The story of Prahlad is very emotional. Family members say that he is mentally weak. One day in 1998, he suddenly went missing from the house. The family searched a lot but they could not be traced anywhere. Complained to the police but the police also failed to find Prahlad. At that time Prahlad was 33 years old.
News came in 2014
In the year 2014, suddenly the Gourjhamar police got information and informed the family that Prahlad was lodged in a jail in Pakistan. Just after that, the process of applying for Prahlad’s release and going around the government departments started. Younger brother Veer Singh gave applications to the officials including the ministry to free his brother who was in Pakistan’s jail. The Sagar Police and the Government of India continued to make efforts for his release. Although all this also took 7 years. And now finally the effort was successful. After 23 years Prahlad reached home. He is now 56 years old.

Both brothers cried emotionally
On Monday afternoon, the Pak Army handed over Prahlad to the Indian Army at the Attari Wagah border in Amritsar. After this, Sagar Police and younger brother Veer Singh received them and completed the legal process on the border. When Prahlad returned, he was wearing kurta pajama and carrying a red-colored bag and polythene in his hand. As soon as the elder brother saw the younger brother, both became emotional and started crying bitterly.
Will reach Tuesday evening
Prahlad’s mental state is weak. After the completion of the legal process, the Sagar police left for Sagar with Prahlad. Prahlad will reach Sagar by Tuesday evening.
