
Islamabad: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight failed to land at the Lahore airport due to heavy rain. Because of this, he kept wandering in the Indian airspace for about 10 minutes. This information was given in the local media report on Sunday.
According to the news of ‘The News’, on May 4 at 8 pm, PIA flight PK248 returning from Muscat failed to land at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport due to heavy rain. It said the pilot attempted to land at the airport, but the Boeing 777 aircraft became unstable and could not land.
The newspaper said that on instructions from the air traffic controller, the pilot initiated a go-around approach, during which he lost his way due to heavy rain and low altitude. Flying at an altitude of 13,500 feet at a speed of 292 kmph, the aircraft entered the Indian airspace from the Badhana police station.
After traveling 40 kilometers via Taran Sahib and Rasulpur city of Indian Punjab, the aircraft returned from Nowshera Panniyan. While flying in the Indian airspace, the Captain took the aircraft to an altitude of 20,000 feet and the aircraft flew over the Indian airspace for seven minutes.

The aircraft then re-entered Pakistani airspace near the village of Jhagian Noor Muhammad in Indian Punjab. The aircraft then re-entered Indian airspace via the villages of Dona Mabboki, Chant, Dhupsari Kasur, and Ghati Kalanjar in the Kasur district of Pakistani Punjab.
Three minutes later the aircraft re-entered Pakistani territory from Lakkha Singhwala Hithar village in Indian Punjab. At that time the aircraft was at an altitude of 23,000 feet at a speed of 320 km. After entering Pakistan’s airspace, the aircraft took off for Multan. The newspaper said that the aircraft covered a total distance of 120 kilometers in Indian territory in about 10 minutes.
