Johannesburg: South African scientists have done a new study regarding the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. This study has shown that people who have recovered from infection with the Omicron variant may be able to overcome infections from the delta variant and onwards. Scientists say that an increase in the case of Omicron is possible for a few days, but if we talk about a long time, then there will be more chances of not being admitted to the hospital if infected with Omicron. Death will also be very less.

Alex Sigal, a virologist at the Africa Health Research Institute in Durban, South Africa, has said that the Omicron variant is removing the delta variant. Maybe removing the delta variant is a really good thing. Our study has shown that we can live with the Omicron variant more easily. This variant will harm us much less than the other previous variants.

Carl Pearson, an epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, has said that although these reports are preliminary, it is true that Omicron spreads rapidly. The Delta variant seems to be getting wiped out. Nathan Grubaugh, an epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health, has said that we are seeing the same pattern in Connecticut. We are seeing that Omicron is growing rapidly and Delta cases are decreasing.

High-level antibodies in Omicron?
Scientists did their study on people who had recovered from the Omicron variant. They found that these people had high levels of antibodies. These antibodies also proved to be extremely effective against dangerous variants like Delta. In such a situation, the Omicron variant of the coronavirus can become the reason for the end of this deadly epidemic.

However, scientists say that it remains to be seen what is the effect on people without vaccination. If they are infected with the Omicron variant. Even if the Omicron variant eliminates the Delta, it does not mean that it will remain supreme for many generations.
