Lucknow: The High Court took suo moto cognizance of the incident of Hathras. Taking the suo moto cognizance of the case, a bench of Justice Rajan Rai and Justice Jaspreet Singh of Allahabad High Court took the case from Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avnish Kumar Awasthi, DGP, ADG LO and DM, SP of Hathras. The answer is sought by October 12. The High Court double bench also expressed displeasure over the role of the police-administration in the Hathras case.

Voice raised in favor of victim’s family
Significantly, after the death of the victim of the Hathras gang-rape case, the organism is not taking the name of the end. On Tuesday, after the police forcibly cremated the dead body of the deceased, the resentment of the Dalit society broke out on the streets on Wednesday. Everywhere people closed the markets, along with the sanitation workers announced the strike. Hundreds of people who took to the streets shouted slogans against the police administration and the government, demanding that the accused be hanged. During this time people also tried to blow the bike. However, the police later drove away the crowd leaving lathicharge and tear gas shells. Due to the anger of Dalits, there is a tense atmosphere in the whole city. People are shouting slogans to bring justice to the family of the deceased.

Rahul-Priyanka stopped
The echo of this case was heard on Thursday also. The former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and UP in-charge Priyanka Gandhi, who are going to meet the family members of the victim, were stopped by the UP Police on the Yamuna Expressway in Noida. Later he was taken into custody. On the other hand, the UP Congress has been infuriated by Rahul-Priyanka being detained. The party has announced a protest in the entire state to protest against the detention of Rahul-Priyanka. In this regard, the workers have been directed to perform in all the districts, assembly, blocks on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee.

Letter of women lawyers to Supreme Court
Earlier, 47 women senior lawyers have written letters to Chief Justice of India (CJI) SA Bobde and member judges of the Collegium in the Supreme Court. Women lawyers have demanded early hearing of this case and the harshest punishment for the accused. The letter, written by 47 women lawyers, appealed to all policemen and officials of the administration for negligence in Hathras and to take appropriate and immediate action against medical officers, those who tampered with the evidence. In the letter, it has been requested that an immediate investigation should be held against them and they should be suspended. In the letter written by women lawyers, it has been expected that the Supreme Court will intervene in this matter immediately. However, highlighting many incidents, the letter also questioned the attitude of the police. The women lawyers have written in their letter that the victim’s family had just begun to feel lost that the officers of Uttar Pradesh Police showed cruel forms. Police officials cremated the body of the victim without the consent of the family.
