Kolkata: A massive fire broke out in a market in Howrah, Kolkata. Information is also being received that around 800-1000 shops in the market have been gutted. It is being told that there are more than 5000 shops in this market.

It is being told that the fire broke out around one o’clock in the night, after which fire tenders were dispatched. There is no information about any casualty in this incident yet. On the other hand, local shopkeepers say that this fire was not set suddenly but in a planned manner. Details on the incident are awaited.

In fact, these people say that they have been fighting the case for the ownership of the shop for years. Whereas the police, TMC leaders, and ministers charge a week from them. A shopkeeper told that at least one thousand shops in the market have been gutted. Along with this, many shopkeepers alleged in the name of the police station here and local Trinamool leader and minister Arup Rai that money is given to these people. These people take lakhs of rupees in a week.

On the other hand, Howrah Divisional Fire Officer Ranjan Kumar Ghosh informed from the spot that, we had dispatched the fire engine as soon as the information was received. Right now 18 fire engines are trying to control the fire. There is no information about any casualty yet. Can’t tell the cause of the fire right now.
