In a bid to modernize local transport facilities, the state government has collaborated with private service providers to introduce app-based e-rickshaw and e-auto booking facilities, offering an eco-friendly, affordable, and seamless commuting experience for visitors.
App-Based Booking for Devotees: A First for Mahakumbh
The newly launched app, developed by the startup Comfy E-Mobility, will enable devotees to book rides through their smartphones, akin to Ola and Uber services. Starting December 15, the service begins with the deployment of 300 e-rickshaws across Prayagraj, with expansion plans to cover major transit hubs such as railway stations, bus stands, airports, and key hotels.
