
New Delhi: Finally, the month of August has started with good news. Yes, today i.e. on Tuesday, 1 August i.e. on the first day of the month, oil companies released the price of gas cylinders. Along with this, a big change in the price of LPG cylinders (LPG Commercial Cylinder) has been announced today.
Unlike usual, this time also a big reduction of Rs 100 has been made in the price of commercial LPG cylinder. Where last July, there was a slight increase of Rs 7 in the commercial LPG cylinder of 19 kg. But at the same time, a big relief has been given by cutting Rs 100 this month. However, this deduction has been made only in commercial i.e. 19 kg cylinders. There is still no change in the cylinders used in homes.
Significantly, on the first day of every month, the prices of gas cylinders are updated by the oil companies. At the same time, no change has been made in the domestic gas cylinder, but the price of commercial cylinders has definitely been reduced by Rs 100. After this reduction, the price of commercial cylinders in the country’s capital Delhi increased to Rs 1680, which had reached Rs 1780 after the increase on July 4.
Know the price of commercial gas cylinders in 4 metros of the country from today
- A 19 kg commercial gas cylinder now costs Rs 1680 in Delhi.
- The cost of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Kolkata is Rs 1820.50.
- The cost of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Mumbai is Rs 1640.50 today.
- Whereas in Chennai, the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder is now Rs 1852.50.

No change in domestic cylinder prices this time too
However, this time also there has been no change in the price of the domestic cylinder i.e. 14.2 kg cylinder used in your house. At present, the price of domestic gas cylinders in the country’s capital Delhi is Rs 1103. The last change in its price was on March 1, 2023. Its value has doubled in three years. People are waiting as to when they will get relief by cutting the price of domestic gas cylinders from the government. On the other hand, giving great relief to the people of the country, the Modi government made a big announcement of giving a gas subsidy of Rs 200/cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme. This subsidy will now be available on 12 cylinders annually.
