New Delhi: Companies have revised the prices of LPG cylinders in India from December 1, 2023. The commercial LPG cylinder, which is used by hotels, restaurants, and other businesses, has become more expensive by Rs 21 in Delhi and by different amounts in other metro cities. The new price of commercial LPG cylinder (19 kg) in Delhi is Rs 1796.50, which is Rs 50 more than the previous price of Rs 1775.

The price hike of commercial LPG cylinder comes after the completion of the assembly elections of five states. The results of the elections will be announced on December 3rd 2023.
The price of domestic LPG cylinder (14.2 kg), which is used by households, remains unchanged as of December 1, 2023. The domestic LPG cylinder is subsidized by the government and its price is revised every month based on the international crude oil prices and the exchange rate of the rupee. The current price of domestic LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) in Delhi is Rs 859.50, which was last revised on November 1, 2023.
The common LPG cylinder consumers have neither got any relief nor any new changes have been made in the rates of their gas cylinders. The price of LPG cylinders is one of the factors that affects the inflation and the cost of living in India.
