June car sales slow down compared to May, 6 Maruti cars in top 10

In May 2023, 3.35 lakh units were sold, while in June it was 3.27 lakh units. On the other hand, it has been an increase of 2 percent annually. If we look at the figures for June 2022, only 3.21 lakh units of cars were sold at that time.

This month, once again this car has left the big names to dust by registering the maximum number of sales. Be it commercial or private, people are yet to see any alternative to this car in the market. This car is Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. Once again, the Wagon R was one of the best-selling vehicles in the month of June. On the other hand, if we talk about the top 10 vehicles, then more than half of the vehicles have been seen from Maruti Suzuki.

Maruti on the second and third positions as well
Maruti Wagon R’s company sold 17,481 units in June. The second position was the company’s popular hatchback, Swift. The sale of 15,955 units of this car was registered. This time Hyundai has occupied the place of Maruti in the third position and 14447 units of the company’s Creta SUV have been sold. Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been in the fourth position and its 14,077 units were sold.

Tata’s sales also increased
At the same time, Tata Motors has once again shown better sales in the SUV segment and the sales of Tata Nexon have shown an increase. The company has sold 13827 units of Nexon. Whereas Hyundai’s Venue stood at the sixth position with 11606 units. Maruti Suzuki’s best-selling budget car Alto sold only 11,323 units and stood at the seventh position.

Tata’s micro SUV Punch has once again made a place in this list and the car stood at the eighth position with the sale of 10990 units. On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been able to make it to the ninth position with 10578 units and Grand Vitara to the tenth position with the sale of 10486 units.

Honda missing from the list
At the same time, no Honda car has made it to this list this time. Nor has any Toyota vehicle made it to the list. However, both companies are preparing to launch their new cars during the festive season and a boom can be seen in both the sales in the coming times.
