New Delhi: Commonwealth Games 2026 is to be held in Australia’s Victoria state. But he has pulled out of organizing the games due to the increasing budget. Because of this the Commonwealth Games Federation has suffered a major setback. He has said that we will find a solution soon. Earlier, the Federation had to face trouble in finding the organizer, and in April 2022, Victoria was handed over to host it. Victoria’s chief Daniel Andrews told that the budget for the first games was about 15 thousand crore rupees, which has now increased to about 34 thousand crore rupees.

Talking to reporters, Daniel Andrews said that I have gone through many difficult situations, but this is a different kind of problem. Clearly, we are not going to spend Rs 34,000 crore for organizing the Games. We cannot organize by reducing the money for schools and hospitals. We have informed the Commonwealth Games Federation in this regard.

More than 5 thousand athletes will participate
Talking about the Commonwealth Games to be held in 2026, more than 5 thousand athletes will participate in it. There are more than 20 events to be held. The last Games were held in Birmingham in 2022 when India finished fourth in the medal tally. He won 61 medals including 22 gold, 16 silver, and 23 silver. Whereas Australia was on top with 179 medals including 67 gold.
