New Delhi: The death toll in the suicide attack on Friday (September 30) at Kabul Educational Center in Afghanistan has risen to 53. According to the United Nations, 46 of the 53 killed in the Kabul orbit were girls and women.
“53 killed, at least 46 girls and women,” the UN mission in Afghanistan said on Twitter. He said 110 other people were injured in the bombing on Friday. According to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), the death toll from Friday’s college bombings in the Hazara neighborhood is expected to rise further.
Meanwhile, several media reports have claimed that around 100 students of the institute have been killed in this attack. However, UNAMA said that its human rights teams in Kabul are helping establish an accurate record of the college attack in the Hazara neighborhood.
UNAMA tweeted, “Human numbers continue to rise due to Friday’s college bombings in the Hazara area of the Afghan capital. 43 people were killed, and 83 were injured. The main victims are girls and young women. The casualties are likely to increase further. The verification process by the UNAMA human rights teams in Kabul is ongoing.”
