Bangkok: India’s super middleweight boxer Shiv Thakran defeated Adil Hafeez of Malaysia in a knockout to win the WBC Asia Continental Champion title here. . The Indian boxer created a sensation in the Asian professional boxing circuit by winning an eight-round bout.
Thakran later said, “When this match was decided three months ago, no one believed that I would be able to reach the sixth round, let alone a knockout. Many people had already considered me a loser because I had not fought a match for more than a year. Thakran turned professional in 2016 and has a 16-3 record with eight knockouts.
