New Delhi: Tension has increased in India due to the ongoing Corona epidemic (Covid-19 Pandemic) for the last five months and an unprecedentedly applicable lockdown to control it. According to a recent study, about 43 percent of Indians suffer from depression.

GOBUII survey
A survey of about 10,000 Indians was conducted by smart technology-equipped defensive health care platform GOBUII to know how they are facing the situation arising out of the corona virus. 26 percent of the participants in the study reported that they suffer from mild depression while 11 percent of the participants said that they suffer from depression to a large extent. At the same time, six percent of the participants admitted to having severe symptoms of depression.

Very bad effect on mental health
The study said, “The last five months have been very unexpected. This situation has a bad effect on the mental health of the citizens. Stress is at its highest level due to multiple stage lockdowns, job layoffs, health fears and a total precarious environment. ‘

Questions Asked Through Questionnaire
The study said, “Too much stress takes the form of depression. Due to the current lockdown and sudden change in lifestyle, we have seen that 43 percent of Indians are depressed and are trying to deal with it. Relied on PHB-9 (psychiatric primary care assessment form).

Many symptoms proved
The study also looked at nine aspects of the participants’ lives, for example, routine, hunger, bedtime, ability to concentrate, and the energy present in them. GOQII founder and CEO Vishal Gondal said, “Our study indicates that the spread of coronavirus and its enforced lockdown is increasing the number of people experiencing mental health problems in the country.”

He said, “Increasing uncertainty is the basis of high stress index which can be controlled by having balanced diet, change in routine, proper sleep” Happily, they have become hopeless, are the victims of random sleep, are not eating properly and they are feeling lack of energy in the body.

According to the study, 59 per cent of Indians said that they enjoy working very little these days. Out of these, 38 percent people had this feeling for a few days while nine percent said that more than half of the days were obsessed with this feeling. At the same time, about 12 percent said that they feel like this every day.
