New Delhi: Honda has unveiled its new electric SUV Prologue, which is set to hit the international market in early 2024. The Prologue is Honda’s first electric vehicle based on the General Motors Ultium platform, which also powers the GMC Hummer EV and the Chevrolet Silverado EV. The Prologue is a spacious and stylish SUV that offers a range of 450 kilometers on a single charge and comes with many advanced features. The company has started accepting pre-orders for the Prologue in the American market, where it will compete with other electric SUVs like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Tesla Model Y.

The Prologue is available in three variants: EX, Touring, and Elite. The EX and Touring variants offer both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, while the Elite variant comes with an all-wheel drive system as standard. The all-wheel drive variants have two electric motors that produce 288 bhp of power and 451 Nm of torque. The front-wheel drive variants have a single electric motor with a lower output. All variants have an 85 kWh battery pack that can be fast-charged using a 350 kW DC charger.

The Prologue has a sleek and minimalist design language that gives it a premium look. The SUV has a length of 4,877 mm and a wheelbase of 3,094 mm, which provide ample space for passengers and cargo. The boot space is 714 liters, which can be expanded to 1,634 liters by folding the rear seats. The SUV has LED headlights with DRLs, LED projector fog lamps, LED taillights, and 21-inch aero alloy wheels that enhance its aerodynamics and stability.

The interior of the Prologue is equally impressive, with a large 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The infotainment system also has a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system that delivers high-quality audio. The SUV also has an 11-inch digital instrument cluster that displays various information such as speed, battery level, range, navigation, etc. The SUV also features a heads-up display that projects important information on the windshield, such as speed limit, lane assist, traffic sign recognition, etc.
