In such a situation, let us tell you that today the government is providing a solution to this problem under its Digital India campaign.

Now you can access the ration card-related services by visiting your nearest Common Service Center (CSC). Digital India has given this information through a tweet.

Digital India said on its official Twitter handle, ‘Common Service Center Suvidha has signed an MoU with the Department of Food and Public Distribution under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. With this, ration card services will be made available through 3.70 lakh CSCs across the country. This partnership is expected to benefit more than 23.64 crore ration cardholders across the country.

  1. Ration card details can be updated through Common Service Center.
  2. Aadhar seeding can also be done from here.
  3. You can also get a duplicate print of your ration card.
  4. You can also find out about the availability of ration.
  5. You can also make complaints related to ration card through Common Service Center.
  6. If the ration card is lost, an application can also be made for a new ration card.

These people can apply for a ration card
Every citizen of the country who has Indian citizenship can apply for a ration card. The name of the children below 18 years of age is added to the ration card of the parents. On the other hand, if your age is more than 18 years, then you can apply for a separate ration card.

Generally, three types of ration cards are made. APL for the people living above the poverty line, BPL for the people living below the poverty line, and Antyodaya for the poorest families. This category is decided on the basis of the annual income of the person. Apart from this, the things available on different ration cards at cheaper rates, their quantity remains different. You have to submit some documents to get the ration card of Below Poverty Line or Antyodaya Yojana.
