New Delhi: The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki India’s total production increased by 25.63 percent to 1,66,086 units in September. The company informed the stock market in this regard on Wednesday. In September last year, the company produced a total of 1,32,199 units.

The company’s passenger vehicle production during this period stood at 1,61,668 units. This is 24.1 percent higher than the 1,30,264 vehicles in the same period last year. At the same time, the company’s small cars like Alto and S-Preso produced 30,492 units.

Compact cars such as WagonR, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Baleno, Dzire produced 90,924 units. Utility vehicles Gypsy, Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza and XL6 produced 26,648 vehicles. The company’s light commercial vehicle Super Carry produced 4,418 units during this period.
