New Delhi: Hyderabad woman Harshika Rao has become the first owner of the Lotus Eletre R, the electric SUV from the British luxury carmaker Lotus, in India. The car, which was launched in India in November last year, has a starting price of Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom). Harshika opted for a natron red shade for her car, instead of the company’s signature yellow colour.

The photos of Harshika’s car were shared by Car Crazy India, a page dedicated to exotic cars in India, on Instagram. The page congratulated Harshika on her new ride and also thanked the dealers who delivered the first new Lotus in India. The caption read, “Presenting India’s first Lotus Eletre R. Finished in a shade of Natron Red, this EV makes a whopping 905bhp and goes from 0-100 in just 2.7s. Congratulations to @harshikarao on your new ride and Congrats to @adsrulz and @krishna_vungarala on delivering the first new Lotus in India.”

The Lotus Eletre R is the top variant of the Eletre range, which also includes the Eletre and the Eletre S. The Eletre is the first electric SUV from Lotus, which is known for its sports cars and racing heritage. The Eletre R boasts of a stunning design and performance, inspired by the Ferrari.
