All monuments to reopen for tourists from July 6


New Delhi: Union Tourism Minister (IC) Prahlad Singh Patel on Thursday said that all the monuments can be opened from July 6.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Patel said, the Ministry of Tourism in association with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has decided that all the monuments can be opened with full security from July 6.

It is noteworthy that since the first lockdown for 21 days started on March 24 in view of the spread of Coronavirus, the doors of all the monuments in the country have been closed to tourists.
