In this episode, a team of scientists in China has claimed to have developed a machine based on artificial intelligence, which can fight against criminals. This is the first such machine in the world. Artificial Intelligence Public Prosecutor ie AI Prosecutor will work with 97 percent accuracy. These scientists claim that this machine works on the basis of verbal description.
According to the South China Morning Post, the machine was built and tested at the Shanghai Pudong People’s Procuratorate, the country’s largest and busiest prosecution office. The scientist associated with this project said that this machine has been made to reduce the increasing pressure on the prosecutor.
Scientist Shi Yong, who led this project, said that, to some extent, this system can replace the prosecutor in the decision-making process. He also told that this machine can also identify those who disagree with the country.
AI Prosecutor got 5 years training
Regarding the computer programming related to this machine, the scientists said that, in this machine, written details of 1 thousand cases have been inserted and on the basis of this machine can file charges. According to the South China Post, this machine has been trained for 5 years between 2015 and 2020. During this, the machine looked into many cases and identified common crimes, and filed charges. Most of these cases include cases of credit card fraud, crimes related to gambling, dangerous driving, theft, and obstructing government work.
However, some public prosecutors of the country have expressed concerns about this new scientific system and have asked who will take responsibility in case of a mistake. At the same time, some of these public prosecutors told the local media that, they do not want such a computer-based system to interfere in their work.
