The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in many parts of the country. IMD has issued a warning of heavy rain in Uttarakhand from 7 August. Heavy rains have been forecast in 6 districts including Dehradun. While on August 8 and 9, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in the state. It will rain in Delhi NCR

‘Sinlakhu’ will make these cities of Uttar Pradesh rain
Due to cyclonic storm ‘Sinlakhu’, there is a possibility of rains and very strong winds in the next two to three days. Its effect has started appearing in the weather since Wednesday. Due to this, there may be rain in Kanpur as well as in the districts of Kanpur, Auraiya, Etawah, Firozabad, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Bareilly and Rampur. With this, a new area of low pressure is being created over the North Arabian Sea. An area of cyclonic winds has also formed over Chhattisgarh North East. Meteorologist Dr. SN Pandey of Chandrasekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology said that the impact of ‘Sinlakhu’ can last for a week but, there may be strong rains for two-three days.
Heavy rain may occur in Haryana
For Haryana, the Meteorological Department has given a relief news about the weather forecast. There is a possibility of good rainfall in most areas of the state from August 9 to August 11. During this period, due to high humidity in the atmosphere and mild increase in temperature, there is a possibility of light rain along with winds in some places due to the formation of thunder-glow clouds. Chaudhary Charan Singh, Chairman of the Agricultural Meteorological Department of Haryana Agricultural University, Dr. Madan Khichar said that there is good news for farmers. Due to the weak monsoon winds coming towards Haryana State, the weather in the state is likely to remain generally variable till August 8, with intermittent clouds and a slight increase in temperature.
Chance of heavy rain in Jharkhand
Weather fluctuations will continue for the next four days in Jharkhand. During this period, there is also a possibility of strong rains for two days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a thunderstorm with rain in the districts of Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, West Singhbhum, Seraikela, Kharsanwa, Simdega, etc. The weather forecast for the next five days states that there will be a decrease in rainfall in the state on Friday and Saturday.

This will be the second low-pressure area in the first 10 days of August. This system will adopt a slightly clockwise approach and reach the landward off the coasts of southern Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh. The system is expected to cross coastal areas on 9 August.
