New Delhi: So far, the data of about 50 lakh people have been stolen worldwide and their sales have been done in the bot market. Of these, 600,000 people are from India. With this figure, India is on the list of the most affected countries. This information has been handed over to the VPN service provider NordVPN.

For your information, let us tell you that the bot market is used by hackers to sell data stolen from Victim devices through bot malware. NordVPN has informed in its study that the stolen data includes user logins, cookies, digital fingerprints, screenshots, and other information. The cost of digital information for a person has been fixed at Rs 490.

AIIMS server was hacked
NordVPN has tracked data over the past four years. The bot was launched in the market in the year 2018. India has been facing cyber security issues for quite some time now. Recently, different servers of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) were hacked. This incident happened on 23 November. AIIMS is a famous hospital in India. Big leaders are also treated here.

According to a TOI report, after the ransomware attack on AIIMS, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) also witnessed 6,000 hacking attempts within 24 hours.

Let us tell you that the rules of cyber security are gradually being strengthened in India. Earlier this year, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) asked tech companies to report data breaches within 6 hours.

NordVPN analyzed three major bot markets Genesis market, the Russian Market, and 2Easy in its study. The firm found that the stolen login details belonged to Google, Microsoft, and Facebook accounts.
