New Delhi: BMW is set to elevate the excitement in the two-door sports car segment with the introduction of the M4 CS in India. The highly anticipated unveiling is scheduled for October 4, where pricing details will also be announced. Given the exclusivity of the model, it is expected to arrive via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route, with limited allocations for the Indian market.
A Bold New Design
The second-generation M4 CS adopts BMW’s latest design language, featuring sharper lines, a more prominent grille, and angular headlights with striking yellow inserts. This aggressive front-end design ensures the M4 CS stands out on the road. The side profile showcases crisp character lines and large multi-spoke wheels, while the rear is highlighted by a black diffuser and quad exhaust setup, complemented by sleek LED taillights.
Luxurious and Sporty Interior
Inside, the M4 CS maintains BMW’s minimalist approach with a clean dashboard and a unique rectangular steering wheel. As an M model, it boasts carbon fibre racing bucket seats, M badging throughout, and special CS badging on the headrests, adding to its sporty appeal.
Power and Performance
The heart of the M4 CS is BMW’s 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine, delivering an impressive 550bhp. This powerhouse enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s M-specific xDrive system, ensuring optimal performance and handling.
Expected Pricing and Rivals
The M4 CS is anticipated to be priced upwards of ₹1.5 crore, positioning it against formidable competitors like the Audi RS5, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, and the upcoming Maserati Gran Turismo.
