New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, faced a major cyber attack on Wednesday night. Both of his YouTube channels were hacked around 11:30 pm, resulting in the deletion of all his videos. The hackers replaced his content with videos featuring Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and renamed his channels to “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024” and “@Tesla.event.trump_2024”. Currently, these usernames lead to a “404 not found” page, displaying the message, “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else”.
Ranveer Allahbadia’s Response:
Despite the setback, Allahbadia took to Instagram to address the situation with a mix of humor and resilience. Sharing a selfie wearing a cat eye mask, he questioned, “Is this the end of my YouTube career?” and added, “Was nice knowing y’all”.
After returning to Mumbai from Singapore, he posted another story celebrating the incident with his favorite food, vegan burgers. “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favourite food. Vegan burgers,” he wrote. He humorously added, “Death of BeerBiceps met with death of diet,” alongside a picture of his meal, which included a vegan burger and fries.
Instagram Stories:
Allahbadia also shared two Instagram stories addressing the hack. In one, he posted a video of himself running into the woods, captioned, “Me after seeing that my channel got hacked.” The video transitions from color to black and white, adding a dramatic effect. Another story showed him sitting by a train window with the text, “Dear YouTube fans”.
Monk Entertainment’s Assurance:
Viraj Sheth, co-founder of Monk Entertainment, the company managing many content creators including Allahbadia, assured fans that they have full faith in YouTube to restore the channels. He emphasized that the hack is not a PR stunt. Sheth shared a screenshot of one of the hacked channels, humorously noting, “Guess we are now selling Tesla cars and endorsing Trump for the time being”. He further expressed confidence in YouTube’s support, describing their team as the “most hands-on team he has worked with”.
While the hacking incident has undoubtedly been a significant blow, Ranveer Allahbadia’s lighthearted and resilient response has provided some relief to his fans. The YouTube community and his followers are hopeful for a swift resolution and the return of BeerBiceps’ channels to their former glory.
