New Delhi: Indian Wrestlers (Wrestlers Protest) There is a tussle between the outgoing President of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment. Khap maha panchayat was held in Kurukshetra for the second consecutive day regarding this matter. Earlier, a maha panchayat was held in UP’s Muzaffarnagar on the previous day, but no resolution could be passed on it.
The issue of support for wrestlers is becoming hot all over the country. The round of panchayats continued in Haryana on Friday. Meanwhile, there was an uproar in the khap called to support the wrestlers. During this, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait announced that arrest Brij Bhushan by June 9, otherwise, we will launch a movement. This big statement of Rakesh Tikait came in Kurukshetra. He said that if Brij Bhushan is not arrested, then we will bring back the players after leaving them at Jantar Mantar.
After the maha panchayat, farmer union leader Rakesh Tikait, while giving the government time till June 9, said that there will be no compromise on anything less than the arrest of Brijbhushan Singh. If any accident happens to anyone, the responsibility will be on him (Brij Bhushan Singh). After June 9, we will drop the wrestlers back at Jantar Mantar and hold panchayats across the country. In fact, in both the maha panchayats, heads of Khaps from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi participated.
