New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday reconstituted the panel of Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha after inducting new MPs of Rajya Sabha into various parliamentary committees. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has included 6 members of Rajya Sabha in this panel. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, 45 of the newly elected 61 members of the Rajya Sabha were sworn in. After this, all the members were included in various committees. Also, some old MPs were given responsibility. BJP MP Vinay Sahastrabuddhi was made the chairman of the parliamentary committee related to the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

- Bhubaneswar Kalita – He is a Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Assam.
- Vandana Chavan – She is the NCP MP from Maharashtra.
- Sukhendu Shekhar Rai – He is a member of Trinamool Congress from West Bengal.
- Surendra Singh Nagar – He is a BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh.
- L Hanumanthaiah – He is the Congress MP from Karnataka.
- Sasmit Patra – He is a member of Biju Janata Dal from Orissa.

The work of the members of the Deputy Chairman’s panel is the responsibility of running the House in the absence of the Chairman or the Deputy Chairman. The Lok Sabha speaker also constitutes a similar panel in the Lok Sabha, so that in the absence of him and the Deputy Chairman, the functioning of the House can run smoothly.
