New Delhi: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), in the coming few days, there is a possibility of heavy rains in many parts of the country including Maharashtra and Uttarakhand. Yes, IMD has issued a warning of heavy rain in many parts of these states. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to continue over some parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh during the next five days.

Along with this, IMD has also issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rains in different areas of the Garhwal and Kumaon regions of Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning at isolated places in some districts here. At the same time, IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that in view of the new possibility of cyclones in the Bay of Bengal around the coming 17th and 18th, more rain is expected in Odisha.

At the same time, the effect of this pressure being built in Odisha is also visible in many parts of Maharashtra. Here on Sunday itself, it rained continuously for three-four hours in Pune, causing problems for the people. Also, rain has been reported in many cities on Monday-Tuesday as well. Along with this, according to IMD, a yellow alert has been issued for 9 districts of Kerala. The districts for which the department has issued an alert include the states of Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. It has been raining in the hilly areas of the state for the last two days and the Kerala government has directed to keep a continuous vigil in the region.
