Haridwar: Wrestlers agitating against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh have announced today morning to shed their medals in the Ganges. By evening Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik reached Haridwar to flow their medals in the Ganges.

Wrestler returned after convincing Naresh Tikait
National spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait Naresh Tikait reached the spot to meet the wrestlers, he explained to the wrestlers for a long time. He assured the wrestlers that he would hold talks to get justice for the wrestlers. After listening to Naresh Tikait, the wrestlers returned after about two and a half hours.

Raket ticket appealed not to immerse the medal
Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has tweeted and appealed to stop wrestlers from making excuses in Medal Ganga. He tweeted and wrote, this medal is the pride of the country and the tricolor. We request all the wrestlers not to take such a step. You have made the country proud with your sport. We request the President and the Prime Minister to take the matter into cognizance and talk to the wrestlers soon.

Wrestlers cried a lot on Hari’s foot
Before floating the medal in the Ganges, the wrestlers wept profusely sitting on Hari’s foot. During this, some people kept fanning him with a pot. On the other hand, slogans were raised against BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

No permission to protest at India Gate: Delhi Police sources
Police sources said the agitating wrestlers would not be allowed to shift their dharna to India Gate as the national monument is not a venue for demonstrations and would suggest alternative places for their dharna.
