Mumbai: In the last two years, many celebrities died due to sudden heart attacks during workouts in the gym. After the recent deaths of South superstar Puneet Rajkumar, comedian Raju Srivastava, Salman Khan’s 50-year-old body double Sagar Pandey, and Siddhant Suryavanshi, a discussion has started about gym workouts and heart attacks. Recently, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri attributed this to working out in the gym without the advice and training of doctors. At the same time, now Sunil Shetty has put his side on this matter.
Sunil Shetty himself is a fitness freak. He told the interview in the Times of India that supplements and steroids were responsible. He said, “The problem lies in the supplements they take, the steroids they eat. Workout is not the problem. They (gym goers) are not pushing themselves beyond their limits. When someone takes supplements and steroids, it causes heart failure and does not lead to a heart attack.”
Suniel Shetty further added, “Also, it is also important to eat right and get the right amount of sleep. All these things play a role. And keep in mind, by eating right, I do not mean dieting. By eating right, I mean nutrition. I am sure Jim is doing what is necessary.” Sunil has also advised people to get the test done.
Advice to people to get a blood test done
Suniel Shetty further added, “And I must add here that after COVID-19, we need to do the test which tells us whether our blood is forming clot (D-dimer test) or not. Covid is causing blood clotting and it can be dangerous.”
Sunil Shetty’s digital debut
Talking about the work front, Sunil Shetty is making a digital debut with the web series Dharavi Bank’. Recently the trailer of the series has been launched. It also stars Vivek Oberoi. While Suniel Shetty will be seen as the formidable Thalaivan, Vivek Oberoi will be playing the role of a cop named JCP Jayakant Gavaskar. This is a crime thriller series.
