New Delhi: Instant messaging app WhatsApp is always bringing new updates and features for its users. This time too the platform is going to launch a new feature to give you a seamless calling experience. For voice calls, the company is starting the Call Links feature. WhatsApp says that this feature will help in starting and joining calls with just one tap.
Through the call link feature of Whatsapp, users can tap on the ‘call links’ option available under the call tab. After which a link will be created for audio or video call. After this, it can also be easily shared with family and friends. To use the call link, users just need to upgrade their WhatsApp app to the latest version. The company will roll out this feature this week.
CallLinks feature is being made available to all globally. This means, if you haven’t got this feature yet, then you can soon take advantage of it too. You just have to keep the app always updated to the latest version, for which Android users can update their app by visiting the Google Play store and iPhone users’ app store.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the testing of secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 people. This feature has previously been introduced for voice calls.
