New Delhi: Rain continues in many states including Delhi-Mumbai. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in some states today i.e. on October 8 and October 9. IMD scientist RK Jenmani gave information. He said that there is a possibility of heavy to heavy rains in Uttarakhand, West UP, East UP, East Rajasthan, West MP, and Gujarat on 8 and 9 October. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these states.
Light rain in Delhi
IMD scientist RK Jenamani said that all the 12 stations in Delhi received rain on Saturday which will continue till Sunday. According to Genamani, there will be light to moderate rain in Delhi and adjoining areas on Sunday. However, no warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department for Delhi. He has also said that the rain will reduce on Sunday but the sky will remain cloudy. There will be no significant rain in the national capital after October 10, drizzle/light rain may occur.
Chances of rain in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places over Gujarat on October 08 and in Tamil Nadu on October 09, 2022. At the same time, very widespread/ widespread light/moderate rain with isolated heavy falls very likely over West Bengal and Sikkim from 08 to 12 October. Whereas, Bihar may receive moderate to heavy rains from October 08 to 11. At the same time, light/moderate rain and thundershowers are very likely at isolated places over Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from October 09 to 11.
