Team India defeated hosts England by 151 runs in the second Test (IND vs ENG) played at Lord’s ground. With this, the team has taken a 1-0 lead in the 5-match series. The first Test played in Nottingham was a draw. Chasing the target of 272 runs, England’s team could score only 120 runs.

This is Virat Kohli’s 37th win in Tests as captain. He has captained Team India in 63 Tests so far. They have lost 15 Tests, while 11 Tests have been drawn. Kohli beat former West Indies legend, Clive Lloyd. Lloyd had won 36 out of 74 Tests, in 12 he had lost. 26 matches were drawn. Kohli is also India’s successful Test captain.

He is the only captain in the world to win more than 50 Tests. Ricky Ponting of Australia is second and Steve Waugh of Australia is at number three. Ponting won 48 out of 77 Tests. 16 lost, 13 draws. At the same time, Steve Waugh won 41 out of 57 Tests, losing only 9. 7 matches were drawn.

This is Team India’s only third win out of 19 Tests at Lord’s ground. The team lost in 12 Tests, while 4 matches were drawn.
