US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Glynn and other military officers are seasoned professionals. He said they have a lot of experience in war and military operations. The US has been providing arms and financial assistance to Israel since the start of the war. Israeli media reports have also claimed that the US will send thousands of its troops to Israel, which will boost its military presence in the region. These include the deployment of two US aircraft carriers and their associated escort ships, which will carry about 15,000 troops. According to the reports, a task force comprising about 4,000 marines and sailors will also be deployed.
