Washington: Tensions between America and China are constantly increasing. Ever since the US became friends with Taiwan, China has been in a tizzy. Meanwhile, Chinese warships have once again practiced a missile attack on American aircraft carriers. The special thing is that China has done this exercise amid reports of infiltration of Taiwan’s airspace. According to Reuters news, an American source has reported that the Chinese aircraft was just 250 nautical miles away from the American carrier and its accompanying warships.
Beijing asserts its claim on Taiwan, regarding which there is a tense situation between the two countries. At the same time, Taiwan has got the support of the US and in recent years, both countries have come together openly against China. There were reports of Chinese warplanes entering the Taiwan area on 23 and 24 January. Earlier, China had sent 11 aircraft, while the second time there were reports of 15 fighter planes being sent. The USS Theodore Roosevelt of America is present in this area around which there is also an American war fleet. During the entry into Taiwan, the talks of Chinese pilots could be intercepted, in which they talked about the practice of attacking the warship. China had earlier also issued a notice that it would conduct war in this part of the South China Sea.
China should stop pressuring Taiwan: America
After the incident, the US Department of Defense had said, “We appeal to China to stop putting military, diplomatic, and economic pressure on Taiwan.” However, it was to no avail, and Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian warned of a formal war on independence in Taiwan.
