Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has announced the much-anticipated results of the class 10th and 12th examinations on April 20, marking a significant milestone for approximately 55 lakh students. The declaration was made by Board Secretary Dibyakant Shukla at the UP Board’s headquarters in Prayagraj.
Improved Performance in Intermediate Results
This year’s intermediate results have shown a commendable improvement over the previous year, with an overall pass percentage of 82.60%. In comparison to last year’s pass rate of 75.52%, this represents a significant increase of 7.08%. Shubham Verma from Sitapur emerged as the state topper, securing an impressive 97.80% with 489 marks out of 500.
Gender Disparity in Results
Continuing the trend of recent years, female students outperformed their male counterparts. The success rate for girls stood at 88.42%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 77.78%. This indicates that the performance gap between girls and boys has widened, with girls leading by 10.64%.
Accessing the Results Online
Students can conveniently check their results from the comfort of their homes. To do so, they need to visit the official UP Board website at upresults.nic.in. Upon clicking on the ’12th exam result’ link, students will be prompted to enter their roll number. The results will then be displayed on the screen, and it is advisable to take a printout for future reference.
