New Delhi: Japanese carmaker Toyota has recently become the world’s largest car manufacturer. In the last year 2021, the number of sales of its cars in many countries was the highest. Toyota has got a big advantage of a partnership with Maruti Suzuki. The company’s Toyota Glanza and Toyota Urban Cruiser have received an overwhelming response from the customers.
The company told through a press release that in total, more than 1 lakh units of these two vehicles have been wholesaled. Let us tell you that both the vehicles were brought under a partnership with Maruti Suzuki.
The company made record sales
Toyota has managed to sell over 65,000 units of the Glanza and over 35,000 units of the Urban Cruiser. The company said that the Glanza and Urban Cruiser together have been instrumental in meeting the needs of 66% of Toyota’s first-time buyers, especially in Tier II and III markets.
Glanza Features and Price
Toyota launched the Glanza in India in 2019. Its ex-showroom price in India starts from Rs 7.49 lakh. Toyota Glanza has been launched in the market in two variants. The Glanza is the first product of Toyota and Suzuki’s partnership. Manual and automatic gearbox options are available in both variants of Toyota Glanza. The manual model of the V variant of the Glanza has an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.58 lakh. At the same time, the price of the automatic model of the V variant is Rs 8.90 lakh, while the price of the G variant is Rs 8.29 lakh.
Urban Cruiser Features & Price
The Toyota Urban Cruiser subcompact SUV was launched in India in 2020. The company launched the car in three variants Mid, High, Premium. All three variants come in manual and automatic transmission. Manual transmission price starts at Rs. 8.63 Lakh for mid variant and Rs. 9.80 Lakh for automatic transmission. Like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in the Urban Cruiser, a 1.5 liters, 4 cylinder petrol engine has been given. This engine generates power of 103 Bhp and torque of 138Nm, which comes mated to 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission (AT).
