New Delhi: Under Toyota and Maruti Suzuki Alliance, both companies continuously bring new models. Now Toyota is about to bring a new car under the joint venture of both companies. It is an MPV based on Maruti’s very popular MPV Ertiga. Toyota has now introduced it in the market with its branding. Maruti’s Ertiga has remained the number 1 MPV in the Indian market for a long time. To capitalize on the popularity of Ertiga, Toyota is launching it in the market with a new name.
Ertiga has been launched in the market under the name Toyota Rumion. The company has introduced it in the market but has not announced the price yet. After the debut, the company is expected to announce its price soon.
When will it be launched?
No fixed date has yet been revealed regarding the launch. But, since the festive season is not far away, it is believed that the company will launch it in India around the festive season. The Ertiga is the bestselling car in its segment, so Toyota is banking on the success of the Rumion. The Toyota Rumian is definitely a new avatar of the Ertiga, but the front grilles and bumpers from the Innova Crysta have been used in it. The design of alloy wheels has also been changed.
Cosmetic change
To give a fresh look to the car, changes will be seen in its interior and exterior. The car will get new front grilles and bumpers different from Ertiga. At the same time, the company will make cosmetic changes in the interior as well. Like before, this car will come with 3 rows 7 seater layout. The car will also get the Toyota i-Connect feature along with the features of the Ertiga.
