Khandwa: Bodies of three tribal sisters were found hanging from a tree in a village in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. Prima facie seems to be a case of suicide. However, the police are probing the matter. The police officer gave this information.
Khandwa Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh said, “The villagers found three sisters hanging from a tree and informed the police. The deceased have been identified as Sonu (23) and his two younger sisters Savitri (21) and Lalita (19).
According to the information, this incident is in the Kotaghat village of Jawar police station area of Khandwa district late on Tuesday night. A police officer said on Wednesday that they were found hanging in Kota Falya near Bhamgarh village at around 11 pm on Tuesday. He said that after receiving information about the body being found, the jawans of Jawar police station reached the spot around 2 am (on Wednesday).
Jawar police station said, “The three sisters were found hanging from a tree. It could be a case of suicide as the family does not suspect the involvement of any outsider. We are probing the matter in all respects.” He said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
Police said that there were five sisters and three brothers in this family. Singh said that in the preliminary investigation, the police and forensic team believe that all three have committed suicide. However, the police is investigating from all aspects and the real cause of his death is being ascertained. He said that on receiving the information, the Jawar police reached the spot at around 2 pm and with the help of the villagers brought down the dead bodies from the tree. Singh said that the postmortem of the dead bodies is being done.
