New Delhi: In the midst of the ongoing Kisan Andolan agitation against agricultural laws, another farmer committed suicide on Sunday and gave his life. Karmaveer Singwal of Haryana, who was involved in the demonstration of farmers on the Tikari border of Delhi, committed suicide by hanging the noose with a rope in the tree this morning. After the farmer’s suicide, the people present in the surrounding area gathered. The deceased Karmaveer Singwal also left behind a suicide note, in which he has written a message to the agitating farmers. Singwal has said in this that the farmers have to fight till they dying against the black laws.

Actually, this is not the first time that the protesting farmers committed suicide. Earlier in January, a 40-year-old farmer from Punjab, who was participating in a demonstration against Singhu Border against agricultural laws, allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substances. The Haryana Police had given this information then. Inspector Ravi Kumar at Kundli police station in Sonepat had told that farmer Amarinder Singh was a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab. The farmer was rushed to the local hospital in Sonepat, where he died.

Sikh preacher Sant Ram Singh had reportedly committed suicide.
It is noteworthy that farmers of various parts of the country, especially Punjab and Haryana have been protesting against the boundaries of Delhi for more than two months against the new agricultural laws. In the last week of December last year, Sikh preacher Sant Ram Singh allegedly committed suicide on the Singhu border. Farmers have been camping at many borders of Delhi, including the Singhu border, for several days against the new agricultural laws of the Center.
